Like most small town country hotels the decor was dated but largely well kept. Linen was fresh and clean and room was clean without the old cigarette smell these places sometimes have. Restaurant is functional, the bar is small and not well stocked but its fine for a quick beer. The food was good, basic menu but served quickly. Staff are friendly and accommodating.

The room stank, air con was so filthy it did not work. The power point was hanging on live wires, the exhaust fan in bathroom was filthy. Tiles were broken, toilet not flushed, soap dispenser broken, taps broken, carpet disgusting, freezer in fridge hadn't been defrosted ever. Big chunks out of the wall and linen wasn't clean. A real health risk!!

We were very pleased with the comfort of the room and the staff were very friendly and helpful.Although the restaurant was closed we were able to get room service which was well presented and tasted great!

Don't bother about using this motel. For the money they charge you per night you would expect things to work. Cold tap in basin just went round and round.no cold water.,shower went every where no way to contain as there was no shower curtain and no shower soap in the dispenser.Carpet stank like it had not been cleaned . At least the beds were okay.or maybe I was just too tired to care. left early did not want to stay any longer

Very tired, very old.Curtains with holes in carpet dirty.Restaurant and bar closed...no wine glasses.Bed linen extremely average...upside , bed was comfortable ...Party in room next door did not help....loud music , several people in the room...and duff duff music.

Think about what the absolute cheapest hotel in 1969 might look like. Now imagine it without proper maintenance, refurbishment or a decor refresh in over 50 years might look like and THAT'S basically it. That said, the water pressure was surprisingly powerful and the staff were very nice.

Spacious Rooms but No Heating,Heater was going On n Off,wall Heater didnt Work,Eldctric Blankets didnt Work either..Had a Cold few Nights but Nice Friendly Owner,was very helpful when We locked Keys inside,picked him up from Pub to open Door n took him back ...

Comfortable and warm in cold weather. Electric blanket and heater. Microwave. Old decor could do with an update but otherwise perfectly functional. Good pub and restaurant on the premises has been renovated beautifully.
